Title: Dfw mini mechanics
Post by: MiniShortie on June 28, 2021, 06:42:20 PM
Any mechanics in the dfw metro worth their weight?

I've an '83 shortened Mayfair with a 1275 donkey.

Hard to start and overheats even when moving.
I think it's running too lean and I don't have an air fuel ratio tester.

Thanks John.

I'll give them a call.
They may take one look at my shortie and chase me out of the yard with a torque wrench.

They specialize in Nash Metropolitans and British taxis but they'll work on any British car and several of our Mini owners in the DFW area have used them before.  If it's British, they'll work on it.

Kips motors has done quite a bit of work for me over the years. They may not be the least expensive shop but they know what they are doing.

If you haven't gotten it sorted yet, Lloyd at British Auto Specialists in Haltom City was using an 850 for his daily driver, so he knows a thing or two...

Cheers,
