AutoX Mini

I got the permanent fuel cell mount secured in the spare tire well of the AutoX car and the fuel cell mounted to it.  Piece o' cake and it works like a charm.

Next project was to replace a leaking freeze plug in the block.  No prob there.  But I had to order some from England because I couldn't find any of the same design here in the U.S.

After that, the next project was replacing the HS2 (1-1/4 inch) carbs, that have been on the car since I built it back in the late '80s, with HS4s (1-1/2 inch).  Had to order a new manifold and, when I got it, had to take it to the machine shop to get it grooved out for the locating rings.  Did a test fit today and discovered that I've got interference between the manifold and the center tube of the LCB, so I'm going to have to do a little bit of grinding to get everything to fit properly.

If it ain't one thing, it's another!!!
