Derek I have no clue on tuning your Mini (mine could probably use some TLC too!) but I hope someone down there can give you a hand. Good luck.

Another new member, based in San Antonio.

I 'inherited' my mini from a friend last year and haven't really had any time to get started until recently. It appears to be a MkIII RHD by way of New Zealand. It's had a few modifications -- not sure I'd call all of these upgrades -- along the way.

My plan is to get restoring. I'll start a thread in the projects section shortly, but will be asking for a ton of help. It's my first British car. Most of my other toys are German.

Welcome Brian,

I'm also in San Antonio.  Contact me and perhaps we can arrange getting together to compare notes.

Cheers,
Michael Playle

Hello all, I'm Kenneth.

Just became the new owner of a 1990 MG Rover Mini City E. I've been thoroughly enjoying driving it and learning about all of the things that need attention. It's already in great shape, but I of course have plans for things I'd like to change. All in due course.

Thanks for having me, and I hope to meet many of you at the All British & European Car Day  down at White Rock Lake.

Well it looks like I did my initial Intro on a new post. LOL Sorry about that! I'm Eric and I currently live in Germany but will be moving back to the states in the fall to Oklahoma City. I currently own 2 minis 79 clubman and a 86 Mini City E 1000 which I bought when I was stationed in England. I've had 5 total minis when I was there from 08-12.  Looking forwards to "meeting" you all. Any OKC people on here?

Hey, just taking a minute to say hello.  John Lieberman was kind enough to help me get registered, and thank you for that John.

My wife and I are getting our first MINI Cooper in the next week or so.  It's a new one...a 2019 S Convertible, Chili Red with Chesterfield Malt Brown interior.  It's the first time for a new car for either of us in about 12 years and this is a first convertible for either of us.  We're really anticipating having some fun in that vehicle!

We live just south of Houston in Pearland, Texas, but love taking trips to Galveston or out toward Brenham or Austin and down south to Corpus Christi and The Valley.  We're certain that having a convertible MINI to take some of those trips is going to add a whole new dimension of adventure when we get the chance to get out on the road.

Anyway, just saying hello.  :-)

Hi Al, welcome to the forum. It sounds like you've got a very nice MINI and I'm sure you'll have a great time with the car. I'm not sure if it's still around but there used to be a MINI group in your area called the Houston MINI Motoring Society. You should check to see if they are still active.
Again, welcome and have fun!

Thanks, Paul.  I have indeed checked in with  the Houston MINI Motoring Society and also joined in on their Facebook page.  They seem to have a pretty good bit of local activity, so my wife and I are looking forward to (hopefully) doing some things with them in terms of road trips and the like.  We are still waiting on delivery of our convertible, but I know it has arrived at the port in Galveston and should be to our dealership by this weekend.  I'm anticipating that we will be able to take delivery by early next week as long as all goes well.  Thanks for the welcome!

Al

Hi, Brad, and welcome to MOT.  We're certainly glad to have you as part of our merry little band of Miniacs and MINIacs.  For those of you who don't know the difference between Minis and MINIs, Mini refers to the classic '59-'00 Mini (which is 60 years old this year) and MINI refers to the '01-present New MINI.
