My Mini has a Swiftune 1380 motor, but since I got it through a trade with a dealer I don't have any info about it's build. I looked around on Swiftune's website but it doesn't seem like there is a "standard" build motor, more of a built to your wants type deal. The block is stamped "Swiftune 1380 ST" with what I'm guessing is a serial number after that. Is there any info about these motors out there or am I at the "only way to really know is to take it apart" point.  Undecided

I wonder if you could contact Swiftune with the engine # and ask if they have details of the build.  Also, just wondered where your car came from.

Thanks,

Jim, Diana and Jimmy

I second Jim's thought about contacting Swiftune.

The guy who I bought my car from told me that a former owner had built up the engine but he had no details what so ever. Other than a header and Weber carb, I have no idea what else has been done to it.
Hopefully the people at Swiftune can help you out.

Surprisingly, I got it right here in Wylie from Dallas Motorsports. They deal mostly with Porsches, but dabble in anything interesting they can make money on. They took this in on trade for one of their Porsches from a guy in Arkansas. It had a few Minis of the Ozarks stickers on the side window too. As far as where it was manufactured I'm not sure. It's a LHD car.

Your engine (or parts of it) were built by Swiftune.  That's where we're suggesting you point your questions.
